Food consignment reaches Agartala via BD

A consignment of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) reached Agartala, the capital of Tripura state in India, via Bangladesh saving time and money, reports Indian media on Thursday. This was the first consignment being shipped through Ashuganj river port as three Bangladeshi trucks carrying 17 tonnes in each truck reached Agartala. These trucks reached Nandannagar food godown of the Indian state government directly from Ashugaj with police escorts, according to a news agency.
