Food, Cultural Festival opens at Radisson Water Garden Hotel

The week-long '2nd Bangladesh Food and Cultural Festival' organised by the Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka is kicking off in the city from today (Monday)
Aimed at showcasing and promoting the country's culinary and cultural richness to the foreign expatriates as well as the locals, the annual gala would continue every evening over the next seven days at the Poolside of the five-star Hotel.
"This is part of our endeavour to give the foreign visitors of the country as well as the Bangladeshi people a chance to taste the exquisite variation of the Bengali cuisine under one roof," Andre A Gomez, General Manager of Radisson Water Garden Hotel said while speaking at a press conference in the city Sunday.
During the weeklong festival, the chefs of the Radisson Water Garden Hotel will present a wide range of local specialised cuisines indigenous to different regions of Bangladesh through different stalls with each stall representing a particular division and region.
An extensive variety of Bangladeshi cuisines and sample dishes like several kinds of Bhorta (Shutkir Bhorta, Taki Macher Bhorta), fish items (Koi Macher Jhol, Pabda Macher Bhuna, Shorshe Elish), main course menu such as Korma, Polao, Biriani or Khichuri as well as local desserts like Khejur Rosher Kheer, Gajorer Halwa, Rosh Golla, Rosh Malai and a number of indigenous cake varieties like Patishapta, Bhapapitha would be available at buffet dinners starting from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm everyday.
The festival would run until the 30th of this month and would be open to all visitors every evening with an entry fee of Tk. 1900 (plus VAT) for each person.
