Food items distributed among poor

Under the initiative of Janakallyan Nagorik Samaj (Public Welfare Civil Society) Eid commodities were distributed among a remarkable number of distressed, poor and helpless people at the premises of its Mirpur Office by Md. Nurul Islam Okil, Chairman of the organisation and Director, International English Academy, along with Md. Mahbubur Rahman Sohel, secretary of Public Welfare Civil Society, on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman said, "Janakallyan Nagorik Samaj has been doing its humanitarian work for long unofficially through own managed finance".
The secretary said, "Our organisation is on the right track to distribute food items among the distressed and helpless". Md. Ashraful Islam, a Bangladeshi (in Singapore), cooperated financially to make the programme a success.
Society's vice chairman Md. Nazrul Islam, cashier Md. Samsul Alom Khoka, Kamruzzaman, Mahi Uddin, Masum, Asaduzzaman Nur, Julfiker and Salma Begum were present among others.
