Foreign adviser meets Maltese foreign minister

NEW YORK, Sept 26 (UNB): Foreign Affairs Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury had a meeting with Maltese Foreign Minister Michael Frenda on the sidelines of the UNGA Session here Tuesday and discussed cooperation in economic and political fields.
Foreign Minister Frenda is currently the Chairman of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Groups.
Iftekhar Chowdhury said Malta is a member of both the Commonwealth and the European Union (EU), which have been very supportive of Bangladesh's initiatives.
Frenda has expressed interest to visit Bangladesh soon.
