Foreign office confirms Swaraj\\\'s Dhaka visit

The Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh on Sunday confirmed the schedule of Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s maiden Dhaka visit from Wednesday (June 25), a day after her office said she would be visiting Bangladesh on invitation from her counterpart AH Mahmood Ali. ‘During the visit, Sushma Swaraj would have bilateral talks with her Bangladesh counterpart,’ the foreign ministry statement said. It said during the tour Swaraj would call on President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina apart from holding talks with AH Mahmood Ali while she would also deliver a lecture on Dhaka-New Delhi ties at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS). An Indian external affairs ministry statement earlier said Swaraj would also engage with think tanks, chambers of commerce and industry and cultural organiaations during her 3-day visit, according to BSS.
