Foreigners invest $21.569m in equity market

KARACHI, June 27 (Business Recorder): A healthy inflow of $21.569 million of foreign investors' portfolio investment (FIPI) was witnessed at the local equity market during the week ended on June 25, 2010.
"The offshore investors' interest was seen on the available attractive levels at the local share market during the week and the foreign participants took fresh positions in some select stocks", analysts said.
According to National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) data, the cumulative inflow of this mode of investment increased to $27.126 million during the current month.
The data shows that positive trend from foreign investors was seen from the first day of the week with an inflow of $3,342,708 Monday.
