Forex reserve rises to $11.17b

Country's foreign exchange reserve increased to US$ 11,174.75 million on April 24. The reserve was US$ 10,714.46 million on March 29 this year while US$ 10,554.00 million on April 25 last year, according to Bangladesh Bank statistics released on Monday.Despite turmoil in the Middle East and Libya, the wage earners' remittance increased to US$ 8,611.02 million during the July-March period of current fiscal compared to US$ 8,270.04 million during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. - UNB
