Formal inauguration of CCH automation by CA on Oct 6

CHITTAGONG, Sept 26: Chittagong Customs House (CCH) has been directly linked with its controlling office National Board of Revenue (NBR) in Dhaka through online today and as a result, NBR will now be able to monitor any export-import related activities of CCH at any time, CCH sources said.
In this connection, Joint Commissioner of Customs and Member-Secretary of automation implementation observation committee of Customs Motiur Rahman confirmed this and said it would establish a direct communication between NBR and CCH.
CCH sources further said, formal inauguration programme of CCH automation programme will be held at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka on October 6 next. Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmad will be the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurate the automation programme.
Earlier, a meeting of automation implementation observation committee was held yesterday with its convener Brig. General Hasan Nasir in the chair.
