Former AL MP Mannan Sarder dies

Abdul Mannan Sarder, former lawmaker and vice-president of Dhaka City Awami League (AL), died of old-age complications in city's Khidmah Hospital at 2.00 pm Saturday, reports BSS.
He was 87.
He left behind his wife, three sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The first Namaj-e-Janaza of the deceased was held at Malibagh Bazar Mosque after Magrib prayers while the second one at Mugda Baro Mosque after Esha prayers.
Later, he was buried at his family graveyard at Mugda.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock at the death of Abdul Mannan.
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
