Former JU VC Saleh Ahmed passes away

Dr. Kazi Saleh Ahmed, former Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jahangirnagar University (JU), died at 5:55 am on Tuesday at the age of 83. The renowned Professor of Department of Statistics was undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Dhanmondi in the capital.
He served as the JU VC from 1988 to 1993, leaving a lasting impact on the institution.
Dr. Ahmed is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter, relatives, numerous colleagues, students, and well-wishers.
His daughter, Prof Dr Meherun Ahmed, requested all to pray for her father on behalf of the family.
