Former leaders laud initiative

Former presidents and leaders of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) have lauded the Chamber-taken initiative to create 2000 new entrepreneurs this year with a view to meeting the growing demand of employment generation in the country. All former presidents, leaders, members of the board of directors, conveners and co-conveners of the DCCI lauded the initiative at a discussion meeting organised by the Chamber on 'Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo-2013' in the city recently, said a press release. DCCI President Md Sabur Khan presented power-point presentation on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo- 2013 at the meeting. Among others, DCCI former presidents MA Sattar, Mahbubur Rahman, R Maksud Khan, MH Rahman, Aftab-ul Islam, Matiur Rahman, Fazle RM Hasan, FCA, Sayeeful Islam, MA Momen, Zafar Osman, Abul Kasem Khan, Asif Ibrahim and former Member of Parliament and Chairman of DCCI Foundation and Anwar Group of Industries Anwar Hossain took part in the discussion. All the former leaders expressed their eagerness to cooperate DCCI in fulfilling the vision of creating the entrepreneurs. Aftab-ul Islam on behalf of former presidents and leaders said that country like our needs huge employment generation to keep pace of the gross domestic product (GDP) growth. The former president said that if the DCCI can successfully create 2000 entrepreneurs, it will be a great contribution to our nation as well as to our economy. All the leaders present at the meeting wished a success of the effort of creating 2000 entrepreneurs in cooperation with Bangladesh Bank.
