Former secretary Muhidh dies

Abdul Muhidh Chowdhury, a retired secretary of the Ministry of Communication and ex-chairman of Railway Board, died at his Banani residence here this morning at the age of 82, reports BSS. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
The deceased was the son of late Abdul Hasib Chowdhury of Bahadurpur, Sylhet and son-in-law of late Mudabber Hossain Chowdhury, who was a minister of Assam Government and Pakistan ambassador to Indonesia.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held after Asr prayers today (Sunday) at Gulshan Azad Mosque in the city.
