Saturday, 10 July 2010

A human chain was formed Friday in protest against the alleged vandalism in Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus by cadres of Bangladesh Chhattra League (BCL).
A group of former students of JU organised the programme in front the National Press Club demanding a campus, free from political barbarism and domination.
Mir Ahsanullah Riadh of 25th batch, Mozammel Hauque of 16th batch, Sharia Parvin Kakoli of 14th batch spoke on the occasion.
Riadh blamed the university administration for these incidents, as they never take proper action against the culprits.
Mojammel Hauque urged the LGRD and Cooperatives Minister and Bangladesh Awami League secretary Syed Ashraful Islam to play impartial role as a member of the cabinet.
The former students demanded immediate punishment of the culprits and their patrons who were involved in recent clashes and vandalism in JU campus.
