Fortnight-long tree fair begins in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, June 27 (UNB): A fortnight-long tree fair began at government madrasah ground here Wednesday on the occasion of National Tree Plantation Campaign, 2008.
District administration organised the fair in association with forest department and Agriculture Extension Department.
Divisional Commissioner Hafizur Rahman Bhuiyan inaugurated the fair.
Saplings of various types of herbal, medicinal and fruit bearing trees were displayed in 50 stalls in the fair.
Cultural programmes and seminars will be held at the fair premises everyday, organisers said.
