Forum launched to promote investment in renewable energy

A new platform, styled ‘Sustainable Energy for All Investor Forum’, was formally launched in Dhaka on Wednesday, aiming to provide technical support to foreign and local investors in a coordinated manner to promote renewable energy in the country. The new forum was floated accommodating all the major donor agencies, including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), USAID and Germany’s GTZ, to help implement the UN Secretary General’s programme of sustainable energy for all initiative (SE4All) in Bangladesh. Addressing the inauguration of the Sustainable Energy for All Investor Forum (SE4ALL Forum) at a city hotel, US Ambassador Dan Mozena said this forum will play a vital role in dealing with challenges in sustainable energy sector, according to a news agency.
