Foundation of Quantum hospital laid in Lama

BANDARBAN, Mar 9: Foundation of Quantum Mother and Children Hospital was laid Wednesday in Lama of Bandarban district to provide health related services to disadvantaged remote tribal and banglalees. The Quantum hospital, after completion, will be the first hospital within 27 kilometre area of the Lama thana. National professor Nurul Islam laid the foundation to start the construction work in presence of Quantum Foundation Director General Madam Nahar Al Bukhari. Earlier on Tuesday and Wednesday, a medical team led by the national professor extended medical services to 1,500 people living in the Quantum Lama Resort and surrounding areas. They attended patients having problems with medicine, cardiology, neurology, child, eye and nose treatment, dental, gynecology and orthopedics. Another team of 16 specialists from the University of Science and Technology also provided treatment to 371 patients of Lama Resort on Saturday.
