Four deals signed with Cambodia

Bangladesh and Cambodia have inked three agreements and a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The deals were signed Tuesday after a high-level meeting of officials from both countries led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen at the former’s Office, according to a news agency.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong signed the first agreement on the ‘establishment of a joint commission for promoting bilateral cooperation’.
The second one for the ‘promotion and reciprocal of investment’ was signed by Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu and the Minister attached to the Cambodian Prime Minister, Sok Chenda Sophea.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor and Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Phoeung Sakona signed the third deal on ‘Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh’.
The MoU between the two countries on scientific and technical cooperation in agriculture was signed by Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury and Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ouk Rabun.
Both Sheikh Hasina and Hun Sen were present at the signing ceremony.
The Cambodian prime minister and his entourage arrived in Dhaka Monday on a three-day state visit.
