Four die in bus-auto collision in Noakhali
Singer Khurshid Alam hurt in Bogura road crash

Four people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and an autorickshaw in Noakhali, report agencies.
The accident occurred in the Rashid Company Darja area of Ekhlashpur Union at 3.00 pm on Saturday, said Begumganj Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Md Shahjahan Sheikh.
All of the casualties were among the autorickshaw passengers.
The dead were identified as Khadiza Khatun, 40, her daughter Kamrunnahar Polly Akhtar, 22, Ibrahim Raju, 45, and Sakib Hossain, 20.
According to police official Shahjahan, a Sugandha Paribahan bus from Feni was on its way to Noakhali when it crashed head-on with an autorickshaw travelling in the opposite direction.
"Three were killed on the spot when the autorickshaw was crushed. Another died while undergoing treatment in hospital."
Autorickshaw driver Masud Alam, 35, and Khadiza's son Rony, 15, are in critical condition and have been admitted to Noakhali General Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, noted singer and Ekushey Padak recipient Khurshid Alam, who was injured critically in a road accident in Bogura on Friday night, was shifted to Dhaka for better treatment.
Doctors of Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital said Khurshid met with the accident in the Charmatha area on Dhaka-Bogra highway on his way to Mom-In-Hotel, five kilometres away from Bogura town.
A truck coming from opposite direction hit his car, police said adding that the private car carrying the singer was smashed completely injuring Khurshid in his head and face and mouth.
