Four die in Rangpur, Natore road accidents

RANGPUR, Mar 19 (UNB): Three people were killed in a road accident on Rangpur-Bagura highway in Pirganj upazila of the district on Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station Swadesh Chandra said a covered van hit a road divider and then fell on a Thakurgaon-bound bus around 4.00 am, leaving a covered van helper and two bus passengers dead on the spot.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Meanwhile, BSS adds: In Natore, a furniture trader was killed as a truck crushed him in Sherkol area on the Natore-Bogura highway under Singra upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The victim is Masud Rana, 25, son of Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Shankarpur village under Shibganj upazila in Bogura.
Sub-Inspector of Zhalmolia Highway Police Camp Mozammel Haque said Masud Rana was coming from Bogura to Natore by a truck to sell his furniture.
On the way suddenly he fell down from the truck's cabin and crushed under the wheel of the truck at about 9-30 am. He died on the spot.
Highway Police recovered the body and sent to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
