Four directors elected in Dhaka Stock Exchange

Four new directors were elected in the elections of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Sunday. The newly elected directors are Ahmad Rashid Lali , Ahasanul Islam Titu, Azizur Rahman and Mizanur Rahman. A total of 194 voters out of 229 cast votes in the elections. The newly elected directors will fulfill the post of four outgoing directors. The outgoing four directors are Saiful Islam, Nasiruddin Chowdhury, Lailul Nahar Ikram and Masudul Huq. Seven candidates contested in the DSE election. The total members of DSE board of director are 24. Among them 12 members are elected from the DSE members or stock brokers. Remaining twelve members are nominated from different bodies. Meanwhile, the board of directors of DSE will elect its new president through holding Annual General meeting (AGM) on March 16.
