Four Harkatul Jihad cadres jailed for 20 yrs

MAGURA, June 17 (UNB): A court here Tuesday sentenced four members of banned Islamic outfit Harkatul Jihad to 20 years rigorous imprisonment (RI) for possessing huge quantities of explosives.
The court also fined Maulana Mokaddes Ali, Baki Billah, Khalilur Rahman and Rafiqul Islam Tk 20,000 each, in default, to suffer one year RI more.
According to the prosecution, RAB members, as per the statement of Harkatul Jihad leader Mufti Abdul Mannan, arrested Maulana Mokaddes Ali and Baki Billah from the district on October 29, 2007.
