Four held for shifting fertiliser illegally, godown sealed

FARIDPUR, Dec 15 (UNB): Four people were arrested on charge of shifting 45 sacks of fertiliser illegally from the district and a godown was also sealed off in Char Bhadrasan Upazila headquarters Thursday.
Police arrested Anwar Mollah (28), Manu Akter (28), M Khairul (20) and Jahangir Alam (24) from Gopalpur ghat at Char Bhadrasan while they were shifting 45 sacks of fertiliser by a trawler illegally.
As per their statement, the law enforcers raided the godown of fertiliser dealer Zinnat Ali and found 85 sacks of fertiliser missing.
Local UNO Saidur Rahman Khan sealed off the godown on the same day. A case was filed against seven persons.
