Four held for snatching Tk 3.6m in city

Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate raids last midnight arrested four persons from the city's Khilgaon, Gulistan and Rampura, in connection with snatching of Tk 3.06 million. Md Abul Kalam Hawlader alias Kamal (28), Khalilur Rahman alias Khalil (35), Golam Sarwar Hawlader (27) and Md Nayan (25) have been arrested along with sharp weapons, bombs and bombs making equipment. Earlier on August 19, the arrestees snatched away Tk 3.06 million of JR Corporation from the city's Dilu Road area after exploding bombs and firing gunshots in which five employees of the corporation suffered splinter and bullet wounds.     — BSS
