Four Jamaat-Shibir men held in Ctg, Pirojpur

CHITTAGONG, Jul 12 (BSS): District police arrested three activists of Jamaat-Shibir, including a murder case accused from different areas of Satkania Upazila of the district Friday night.
The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Lokman, 38, Mizanur Rahman, 18 and Abul Kashem, 32.
Based on secret information, a team of Satkania police arrested them from Keranihat area of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Satkania thana Mohammad Khaled said arrested Mizanur was a listed accused in Jubo League activist Jabbar killing case while the other two were also wanted in several cases, including destructive and sabotage activities.
UNB adds from Pirojpur: Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami from Nusrat Bazar area of Zianagar Upazila Saturday.
The arrestee was identified as M Abdul Hye Matabbar, general secretary of Zianagar Upazila unit of Jamaat.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Indurkani Police Station Qamruzzaman Talukdar said police arrested Abdul Hye Matabbar from the area around 12.00 noon while he was going to his village home Goserhat from the upazila headquarters.
Abdul Hye was wanted in 7-8 cases, including a local Jubo League leader killing case, filed with different police stations, said police.
