Four JMB men get 14 yrs jail term

CHITTAGONG, Dec 18 (bdnews24.com): Chittagong Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal sentenced Tuesday four JMB men to 14 years in jail each for possessing explosives.
The convicted men are regional commander of JMB Chittagong Zabed Iqbal, Boma Mizan, Ayub Ali and Zahidul Islam.
Judge Shafiqul Karim also ordered them to pay a fine of Tk 50,000 each or serve out three more years in jail.
The tribunal acquitted a fifth man Mashiur Rahman.
The charge sheet accusing the five was submitted on September 5, 2007.
RAB and police had seized explosives and arms from a house of Anwara Begum of Nur Para at Sadar Upazila in Cox's Bazar on August 20, 2005. Two cases had been filed with the Sadar Police Station on the day.
Boma Mizan is on the run.
