Four JU students expelled for Eve-teasing

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, May 22 (BSS): Four students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) were expelled Sunday for one year from the university for harassing female students.
The expelled students are Mohammad Nurunnabi Nabin of Economics Department, Mohammad Mirazul Islam of International Relations Department, Jahangir Alam Arnab of Bangla Department and Ferdaus Ahmed of Government and Politics Department.
Sources said the students teased the female students of the university several times. The JU disciplinary board recommended their expulsion order on the basis of the report of the probe committee on May 15.
The expelled students have been asked to pay a fine of Tk 5,000 each to the university account.
Besides, the meeting rejected the examination of one course of two students each for irregularities in the examination hall.
