Four killed in road accidents

A total of four persons were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail, Gaibandha and Meherpur districts on Wednesday and Tuesday night, report agencies.
In Tangail, two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Gorai Milgate area under Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as bus passenger Farina Begum, 55, wife of late Dulal Hossain of Ramdanga village under Dimla upazila of Nilphamari district, and supervisor of a passenger bus, Mugni, 35, son of Abdul Khalek of Baburhat village of the same district.
In Gaibandha, a motorcyclist was killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident as a Dhaka bound passenger bus hit them.
The victim was Nafiz Sharear Akash, son of Shamsul Alam, at Bridge Road Kalibaripara of the town here.
In Meherpur, a college demonstrator died after being hit by a speeding battery-run autorickshaw in Meherpur district headquarters on Tuesday night.
Deceased Wahidur Islam, 50, was son of late Jahur Ali of Kazipur village in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district and demonstrator at the Chemistry Department in Mujibnagar Government Degree College.
He was residing in his own home in Eidgah Para area of Meherpur town.
