Four killed in separate incidents in Ishwardi

PABNA, Sept 13: At least four people were killed in different incidents in Ishwardi Upazila in Friday.
Two of them were over-drunk drug addicts, one killed in road accident and another housewife killed by husband.
A schoolteacher was also killed in a road accident at Joynagar in Ishwardi Upazila of the district Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam, 50, son of Shamsul Haque of Gopalpur Gormati area in Lalpur Upazila of Natore district. Locals said the accident occurred when a bus hit Jahangir while he was crossing the Ishwardi-Kushita road at Joynagar Boardghar, leaving him dead on the spot.
The dead drug addicts were identified as Monsur Rahman, 45, and Samad Molla 55 of Iswardi Police could not find their address as they were living at Ishwardi railway area as floating people.
The housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband at Shoilpara in Ishwardi Upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Sabina Yeasmin, 23, wife of Raihan Ali of the area. Police said Raihan Ali, 25, son of Zafar Ali of Shoilpara, had married Sabina Yeasmin, daughter of Saidar Pramanik of Titia Majhgram village in the Upazila four years ago. Since then, Raihan used to torture her for dowry.
