Four killed in Tangail road accident

Four persons were killed and five others injured in a road accident at Jogarchar-Kamakha crossing on the Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway under Kalihati upazila of Tangail district Saturday morning. Officer in charge of Bangabandhu Bridge Purba Thana Akheruzzaman said the accident occurred when a truck collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound pickup van in the area around 8 am, leaving four pickup van passengers, including the driver, dead on the spot and injured five others, according to a news agency.
