Four leaders of AL, fronts held in city

Detectives in a drive have arrested four leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its associate organisations from different parts of the capital on Sunday and Monday, reports UNB.
The arrestees are Safur Uddin (50), a leader of No 53 ward of Dhaka North unit of Jubo league; Tajuddin Ahmed (52), presidium member of Jubo League; Nasir Hossain (69), commerce affairs adviser of Dhaka South unit of AL; and Shaheed Mahmud Hemi (42), former joint general secretary of Dhaka South unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
Police arrested Safur Uddin from Turag area around 9:00 pm on Sunday while Tajuddin from Banasree area around 11:00 pm, said deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Talebur Rahman.
Besides, another team of DB Cyber division arrested Nasir from Gulshan area around 11:00 pm and Shaheed from Karwan Bazar around 11:30 pm, he said.
All of them were wanted in different cases filed with Jatrabari and Kadamtoli Police Stations.
