Four remanded, DB to investigate case

CUMILLA, Dec 07 (UNB): A court here on Monday placed four accused in a case over the killing of Cumilla ward councillor Syed Mohammad Sohel and his aide on a 5-day remand each.
Meanwhile, the case was handed over to the Detective Branch (DB) of police from the Kotwali police station for further investigation on Sunday.
Cumilla senior judicial magistrate court judge Chandan Kanti Nath passed the order after the investigation officer of the case sought a 7-day remand to interrogate the accused.
Those remanded are Md Ashikur Rahman Rocky, Md Alam Mia, Jishan Mia and Masum, said M Tanvir Ahmed, additional superintendent of police.
