Four Tahrir men on two-day remand

CHITTAGONG, Nov 21 (BSS): A Chittagong Court Sunday granted a two-day remand to the four detained activists of banned militant outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir.
Metropolitan Magistrate Jasim Uddin granted the remand as the police sought for a seven-day remand of each of them.
The arrested people are: Md Ibrahim alias Aslam (20), Jahedul Alam (20), Hamidul Islam alias Tarek (21) and Muntasir Alam alias Razib (22).
Panchlaish police arrested Aslam, Alam and Hamid from the city's Nasirabad area on November 15, while they were distributing anti-government leaflets among the pedestrians.
Later, the law enforcers arrested Razib as he went to get the three detainees released from police station on the same day.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Panchlaish Nabajyoti Khisa filed a case against the three detainees under Anti-terrorism Act-2009.
