BAGHDAD, Aug 12 (AFP): Four American soldiers have been killed in an explosion during fighting south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the US military announced Sunday.
The soldiers were killed and another four were wounded in the blast during combat operations south of Baghdad Saturday, a US statement said, providing no further details.
The latest deaths, including two recently announced non combat- related fatalities, took US losses in Iraq since the March 2003.
