PARIS, Dec 13 (AFP): France will play Brazil and Colombia in the United States in March as part of their build-up for the 2026 World Cup finals, coach Didier Deschamps said on Saturday.
"It's always good to go the place where the event takes place, and it'll be very good to play Brazil and Colombia," Deschamps said.
France will take on five-time world champions Brazil in Boston, where Les
Bleus are likely to be based for next year's tournament, and play Colombia in Washington.
France were finalists in the last World Cup in Qatar and champions in 2018 in Russia.
They have been drawn in Group I along with Senegal, Norway and the winner of a play-off involving Iraq, Bolivia and Suriname.
Deschamps will announce his World Cup squad in mid-May. He will step down after the tournament, with Zinedine Zidane the favourite to take over as France coach.
