France to help urbanisation of Myanmar 2nd largest city

YANGON, July 13 (Xinhua) : France will help the urbanization of Myanmar's second largest city of Mandalay, official media reported Sunday.
Under an agreement signed between Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC) and France's Ministry of Economy, France will provide assistance in the city's urban development projects such as garbage disposal, transportation services and water supply at a cost of 1.3 million US dollars.
The project includes building underground sewage system up to international standard.
