Franklin takes NZ to 315-7

BANGALORE, Dec 7 (AFP): James Franklin slammed a career-best 98 not out off just 69 balls as New Zealand piled on 315-7 in the fourth one-day international against India Tuesday.
The left-hander hit 12 fours and three sixes to underline a spirited batting display by the visitors, fighting for pride in the five-match series with India having taken a decisive 3-0 lead Saturday.
Scott Styris (46), Ross Taylor (44) and Brendon McCullum (42) chipped in with valuable knocks after India captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and elected to field at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
The fifth and final match will be played in Chennai Friday.
