Free service provided to poor litigants in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, July 13: Huge number of poor litigants got cost free legal aid in Nilphamari district. Sources said more than 2325 poor and vulnerable litigants were provided legal aid free cost by the Legal Aid Committee of Nilphamari district.
Sources added, at present the committee has been dealing with more than 1828 other cases facilitating the poor and helpless litigants so that they can avail proper justice.
While contacted advocate Akhway Kumar Roy, PP, and a member of district legal aid committee said, "We organise regular meetings of the legal aid committee to perform the duty entrusted to us properly."
While contacted advocate Haripado Roy, another member of Legal Aid Committee said it needs comprehensive and coordinated efforts by the bench and the Bar to ensure free of cost legal aid to the underprivileged people a success.
While contacted advocate Mohsin said to give priority to the legal aid related cases is very important in terms of speedy disposal for the greater interest of poor litigants.
Advocate Habibur Rahman said the judges, lawyers, police and other concerned should work together to get maximum benefit of legal aid committee which offers free of cost service.    abumusa88@gmail.com
