Thursday, 13 August 2015
Health Minister Mohammed Nasim has directed all government hospitals to provide free health care services to people for four hours on Saturday marking the National Mourning Day.
The Health Ministry issued an order in this regard on Thursday.
All government medical college hospitals, specialised hospitals, district hospitals, upazila hospitals and union health complexes have been asked to give free health care services from 8am to 12 noon on the day.
Although Saturday is a public holiday, doctors have been directed to be present at their workplaces to provide free treatment to the poor and distressed people, the order said.
It said health care providers will give services to the people at rural community clinics.
