Free-treatment scheme for poor patients launched

Z-18 Initiative, a social organisation of the female students of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College and Hospital Sunday launched a free-treatment programme for the poor patients, said a press release issued by National Bank Ltd.
All the underprivileged patients including children, old aged men and women will get free healthcare and medicine under the initiative from the hospital, located at Monika Estate, Rayer Bazar, Dhaka on each Friday. The generous initiative was taken by the non-profit organization, 'Z-18 Initiative', led by Ms. Mandi Sikder, granddaughter of the hospital's founder Mr. Zainul Haque Sikder, who will patronize the programme.
It was launched at a function at the hospital premises. Hospital's Chairman Zainul Haque Sikder was the chief guest on the occasion, which was addressed, among others, by its Managing Director Ms. Monwara Sikder, Vice Chairman Ms. Parveen Haque Sikder, Directors Ms. Mandi Sikder, Ms. Lisa H Sikder and Mr. Momtazul Haque Sikder. The College's principal Prof. Abu Shamim chaired the function.
