Freedom fighters bring out procession hailing Jamaat ban

A big procession of Freedom Fighters and local people of all walks of life was brought out in the Netrakona district town on Saturday hailing the government led by Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina for banning the anti-liberation and communal forces Jamat-e-Islami and its student wing Chaatra Shibir and the party's associate bodies, reports BSS.
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Netrakona district and Sadar upazila units, Muktijoddha Santan Command unit of Netrakona district and Ekattorer Gatak Dalal Nirmul Committee (GDNC) Netrakona district unit jointly organised the procession.
The procession started from the office premises of Muktizoddha Sangsad Netrakona district unit and ended on the premises of Netrakona Central Shaheed Minar after parading the main roads of the town.
With former Deputy Commander of Muktijoddha Sangsad Netrakona district unit valiant freedom fighter Abdul Matin in the chair, the rally was addressed, among others, by Chairman of Netrakona Zila Parishad Asit Kumar Sarker Sazal, Mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, President of Sector Commanders Forum Netrakona district unit Mohammad Shamsuzzuha, President of Muktijoddha Santan Command Netrakona district unit Professor Omar faruk, President of GDNC Netrakona district unit Kashob Ranjan sarker and its general secretary Shahinuddin Ahmed.
The speakers congratulated the government for banning the politics of the defeated forces of 71-- Jamaat-e-Islami and all of its front organizations including Chaatra Shibir.
