CHUADANGA, Aug 3 (UNB): Eight bogies of a freight train derailed near the district town rail station Thursday morning halting train communication for four hours.
Railway sources said the eight bogies of the Khulna-bound freight train from Shantahar veered off the track soon after it reached near the outer signal of the rail station at about 8.00am halting the rail communication on the route.
However, the communication was restored after four hours as the local railway workers created an alternative line bypassing the spot. Later, a relief train on information rushed to the spot at noon and salvaged the bogies.
