Fugitive life-term convict arrested in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Aug 29 (BSS): Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) arrested a fugitive convict who was sentenced to life imprisonment in a women and children abuse case in 2017.
The arrested was identified as Md Rezaul (28) son of late Jalil Sheikh, resident of Khandarpar village of Muksudpur upazila of the district.
On secret information, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) conducted a raid at Khandarpar village of Muksudpur upazila last night and arrested him from the spot, said (RAB-3) Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Farzana Haque.
He also said, in 2017, a case of women and children abuse was filed in the name of Rezaul in Gopalganj court. After the judicial process in that case, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment in 2020.
