Futures open interest decline 47pc

KARACHI, Dec 14 (Business Recorder): The open interest at the futures counter decreased by a massive 46.7 per cent on week-on-week basis to Rs 51 million. The futures spreads also declined to settle at a level of 1.19 per cent (falling by 2.32pps on weekly basis.
Trading activity at the futures counter fell by a significant 4.9 per cent on weekly basis with a volume of only 1.34 million shares. The top 5 scrips at the counter were PSO, OGDC, MCB, NML and Engro, which cumulatively contributed 74 per cent to the total open interest.
