FVO to inspect BD shrimp, fish industry

An audit team of the European Commission’s Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) will visit Bangladesh in April next to inspect various aspects of shrimp and fish productions. During the visit from April 20 to 30, the FVO team will inspect whether any chemical or medicine is used for producing shrimp and fish and whether those are caught, transported, marketed and processed in a hygienic way. A meeting was held in the city on Tuesday in the run-up to the FVO team’s visit to Bangladesh, according to a news agency.
