GA Siddiqi appointed BRAC Bank director

Bangladesh Bank has appointed Hafiz GA Siddiqi, vice chancellor of North South University (NSU), as director of BRAC Bank Limited from the 'depositors' category' recently, says a press release.
Before joining NSU in 1993, Siddiqi had taught at Ohio State University and Minnesota State University in the US for nine years.
Prior to that, he served at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) for twenty years in various capacities including professor and director.
An eminent economist and the senior-most business professor of the country, Siddiqi, the CEO/Vice Chancellor of NSU for over 10 years, worked as a consultant to renowned national and international organisations; such as the World Bank, ADB, UN/ESCAP, etc.
