GAIBANDHA, Apr 17 (UNB): A man was hacked to death allegedly by his in-laws at Kishoreghari village in Palashbari upazila on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Momirul Islam of Jhalingi village in the upazila.
There had an altercation between Momiril and his wife over her extra-marital affairs, said Hipzur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Palashbari Police Station.
Momirul's father-in-law Tara Mia invited him to his house on Tuesday night and they killed Momirul with sharp weapons in the night, he said.
Hearing his screaming, neighbours rushed in and found Momirul dead and informed the matter to police.
On information, police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy, the OC added.
