Gaibandha road crash kills two

GAIBANDHA, Aug 06 (UNB): Two people were killed and five others injured when a bus rammed into a microbus on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Gobindaganj Upazila on Tuesday.
One of the deceased was identified as Nusrat Zahan, a sub-registrar of Razarhat upazila in Kurigram district while the identity of the other victim could not be known yet.
Quoting witnesses, Mehedi Hasan, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station, said the accident took place in front of Gobindaganj Eye Hospital at around 12:00 pm when the Rangpur-bound bus from Dhaka hit the microbus, leaving seven people injured.
The injured were taken to Gobindaganj Upaizla Health Complex where doctors declared two of them dead.
