Gaibandha youths get loan from DYD

GAIBANDHA, Aug 16 (BSS): A total of five trained youths got loan of Taka 0.28 million with nominal interest from the Department of Youth Development (DYD) on Friday to conduct their income generating activities smoothly.
Office sources said the district administration chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the National Mourning Day-2014 with due respect and honour.
As part of the programmes, a loan distribution function was also held at the auditorium of District Shilpakala Academy of the town with deputy commissioner M Ehsan-e-Elahi in the chair.
Local lawmaker Mahabub Ara Begum Gini attended the function and distributed the cheques to the youths as the chief guest and chief executive officer of Zila Parishad Kallol Kumar Chakrabartee was present as special guest.
Each of the beneficiaries received the loan ranging from Taka 40,000 to 65,000 for the purpose of mobile servicing, poultry farm, fish culture and garments manufacturing.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest urged the beneficiaries to utilize the loan money properly to be self-sufficient in near future through eradicating their unemployment problem.
