Gaining clearer concepts through study groups

A student should develop the skill of understanding an issue/chapter on his or her own. The more clear concepts a student will have, the better he or she will perform in studies. Discussing with others about an issue/chapter that a student has studied is the best way to make his or her concepts clearer.
Taking part actively in a study group of several members is very helpful. While you can share your ideas, you also get to know ideas of others.
Even you may share your knowledge with one or two of your fellows. This is also helpful to make your knowledge base stronger. Do not just wait for a group of several members, rather look for the opportunity to discuss with one or two fellows even.
You may also talk on a particular topic in front of the looking-glass in your house. Also, you may think of a dummy class and you can give lecture just like a teacher does.
While doing these-discussing in group, discussing with one or two of your classmates, or with your own self, you might sometimes find that your concepts are not very clear. In such cases, you can read the texts again, have better ideas and discuss again.
When you have read a piece, you might feel that you have enough idea on the topic. When you discuss on the topic to your group members, you can measure how much you have learned.
Such a habit of discussion will help you concentrate better. You will always feel like "I have to discuss on this and so I have to understand the chapter thoroughly." Such a thinking will keep you under pressure and you will concentrate better.
The more you will take part in discussions, the more you will feel like studying chapters from the books in advance. It will be very exciting and joyous for you to know about a topic earlier than others.
Habit of discussion will help you perform better in the viva boards. Since you have talked on the issues many times, just talking on the issue one more time in the viva board will be very convenient for you. You will feel like you are discussing with your friends, while in reality you are in front of the viva board-which may consist of both external and internal teachers.
