Garment jhut trader killed in Tongi

Miscreants knifed to death a jhut (garment byproducts) trader in Tongi industrial area, on the outskirts of the city early Thursday, reports BSS.
The victim was identified as Md Liton Mondol (45), son of Md Jainuddin of Naogaon district.
"Criminals sneaked into the rented house of Liton in Ouchpara area and stabbed him indiscriminately to death at around 3:00am and fled the scene," officer-in-charge of Tongi Model Thana Md Ismail Hossain told the news agency.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Gazipur Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Police suspected that Liton might have been killed following previous enmity over jhut trading.
A murder case was lodged in this regard.
